You will never have to explain someone where Salzburg is located. Probably everyone in the world knows this magnificent region – Salzburg Land. It is home of many universities, famous culture events like Festspiele, world known brands like Red Bull, Porsche, Puma, etc. and of course one of the most beautiful mountains in the world the Alps. Salzburg land supports young founders through the initiative Startup Salzburg and helps them with the Roadmap-Service.
What comes to your mind when you are thinking about Salzburg or Berchtesgadener Land? Something like Mozart in Lederhosen yodelling in the middle of Alpine green fields? This is partly true. Not only traditions bring these two regions together. It’s also sustainable economy, leading technical universities, and great opportunities for startups. We decided to unite these two regions in our first bilateral event – Startup Live EuRegio Salzburg.
From Friday till Saturday the participants were staying under the roof of Schmiede Hallein – a creative space, a natural playground of ideas. There our participants mastered the art of Business Modelling, cracked the secret of a perfect pitch, conquered the hearts of our CEOs on our Expert SpeedDating. All of this – to win the final pitches competition in Kempinski Hotel Berchtesgaden.
Some of our brave teams:
> SplitMode claiming to be “PayPal for groups”, that helps your friendship survive in the world of constant bills splitting
> FIT4TALENTS offering SMEs the possibility to get the right employees.
> Collee making housebuilding safe and futureproof.
> Woist.at presenting a smart city guide platform.
As we figured out, the traditions rock! And they rocked on Startup Live Euregio Salzburg in face of Lederhosentraining and Excellento.
First team presented fitness “Bavarian art” and made the whole venue shake, move and jump during breaks between sessions. Excellento organised a live simulation of piano concert, involving everybody from the audience. This interactive approach worked out perfectly: the jury gave Lederhosentraining the title of Best Pitch, and Excellento convinced as Early Stage Winner.
